Our Activities

BOCODEP undertakes a wide range of activities aimed at promoting democracy, peacebuilding, good governance, human rights, and sustainable community development across Borno State and beyond.

Through community-based approaches and strategic partnerships, BOCODEP works with government institutions, civil society organisations, community leaders, youth, women, and other stakeholders to address conflict, strengthen democratic processes, and empower communities.

Key Areas of Activity Include:

• Peacebuilding, dialogue facilitation, and conflict resolution initiatives

• Promotion of democratic values, good governance, and civic participation

• Human rights awareness, monitoring, and advocacy

• Community development and empowerment programmes

• Capacity building for civil society organisations, youth, and community leaders

• Media engagement, training, and promotion of ethical journalism

• Voter education, civic education, and public sensitisation activities

• Research, documentation, and policy engagement on peace and security issues
